Graduate Student

The Nee Lab for Cognitive Neuroscience at Florida State University will be recruiting a graduate student to begin in Fall 2024.  The lab studies the neural bases of cognitive control, working memory, and reward processing using fMRI and TMS. The candidate will have access to FSU's  state-of-the-art imaging facility equipped with a 3T Siemens Prisma.  Equipment to concurrently perform TMS-fMRI, TMS-EEG, and EEG-fMRI will also be available.

FSU boasts a strong core of Cognitive Neuroscience faculty with strengths in the study of cognitive control, memory, and affect using fMRI, EEG, TMS, TACS and combinations thereof. We pride ourselves on having a vibrant, collegial, and collaborative community, and welcome students with diverse backgrounds.

Study Coordinator

The Nee Lab for Cognitive Neuroscience at Florida State University invites applicants for a Study Coordinator position beginning in the Summer of 2024.  The lab studies the neural bases of cognitive control and working memory using fMRI and TMS.  The position will involve all phases of research including recruiting and scheduling participants, data collection in behavioral, fMRI, and TMS studies, IRB management, and general laboratory management.  Qualified individuals with coding and statistical experience will also be involved in statistical analyses with the potential for co-authorship of abstracts and papers.

 

Qualifications: B.A./B.S. or equivalent with a background in psychology, neuroscience, computer science, or related field.  Candidates should have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail.  The position is for one year with additional years contingent upon funding and mutual agreement.  Please send a cover letter describing research interests and career goals, CV, and the contact information for three references to Dr. Derek Nee (nee@psy.fsu.edu).

DIS Student

The Nee Lab for Cognitive Neuroscience at Florida State University is seeking DIS students with interests in the neural basis of working memory and/or cognitive control.  Our lab uses fMRI, TMS, and behavior to understand these functions.  DIS students work closely with lab members to learn about research and contribute to the research process.
